LEAD CONSULTING & ABATEMENT

PENTA PROVIDES LEAD EVALUATION AND REMEDIATION MANAGEMENT FOR COMMERCIAL, INSTITUTIONAL, AND INDUSTRIAL PROPERTIES.

Our lead services include the following:

LEAD SURVEYS / RISK ASSESSMENTS
PENTA’s team of EPA accredited lead inspectors can assist building owners and managers in documenting the presence or absence of lead in various paint coatings within their facilities. Employers are required to document the lead content in paint coatings that may be disturbed during renovation or demolition activities. PENTA’s EPA accredited risk assessors can evaluate potential lead contamination and assist clients in the development and implementation of appropriate, cost effective response actions.

OSHA COMPLIANCE / EMPLOYEE EXPOSURE MONITORING
PENTA’s trained staff can further assist clients in performing employee training in accordance with OSHA’s Lead in Construction Standard (29 CFR 1926.62) and performing employee exposure monitoring to document employees’ exposure to lead during work activities that disturb lead-containing paint coatings.

AIR MONITORING AND WORKSITE OBSERVATION SERVICES
During the course of abatement efforts, PENTA can provide Resident Project Representatives (RPRs) onsite to observe the contractor’s work practices and document compliance with project specifications and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. PENTA can provide air monitoring and wipe sampling services.

WASTE CLASSIFICATION
If lead is present on paint coatings to be disposed in a landfill, EPA requires that a sample of the waste stream be analyzed by Lead Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (Lead TCLP). PENTA can assist clients in determining the classification of waste from a project based on Lead TCLP analysis results.

LEAD ABATEMENT/DEMOLITION SERVICES
PENTA offers our commercial, institutional, and industrial clients a range of demolition services. If components scheduled for demolition are coated with lead-containing paint, PENTA’s experienced team can perform the demolition efforts using work procedures and control measures that comply with current regulations and minimize any impact on adjacent areas of a facility. From identification of a lead hazard to removal of the hazard, PENTA assists our clients each step of the way.
